Why does the Kidney Health Evaluation Test matter?
Improper kidney function impacts the body’s ability to filter waste, fluids, or other nutrients. Persistently abnormal eGFR or UACR results can indicate chronic kidney disease, which can progress over time to kidney failure. It’s also important to know that diabetes can often lead to kidney disease and abnormal eGFR and UACR values.
